Minnesota State Patrol

I spent almost half of my thirty-five years in law enforcement with the Minnesota State Patrol. I left the State Patrol in 2005 as a Sergeant/Investigator to become a Minnesota Conservation Officer. My son is a second generation Minnesota State Trooper.

My extensive Minnesota Highway Patrol/State Patrol collection is one of my highlights. The history I have collected and learned along the way is remarkable. As with my other collections, I will not be posting everything I have. This is just a small sample.

Badge #205 was issued to Leonard Vierzba in 1955. Vierzba worked in the Detroit Lakes area until his retirement in 1979.

Minnesota 1st issue Highway Patrol badge #10. Badge was issued to Elmer Cheslstrom on July 1, 1929. He resigned later that year. The badge was reissued to Raymond Smith when he graduated from the first Highway Patrol Academy on April 1, 1930.
